Howdy,
I have a /etc/rc.d/rc.serial script that I use for setting up the third
serial device, ttyS2 (COM3). I can send it to you if you need to go
that route. What type card is the modem? ISA or PCI?
Is it jumperless, or can you set jumpers? The latter are the easiest to
set up. PCI modems are automaticly initialized on boot.
The rc.serial script should fix everything if the machine sees the modem
now, but sets the wrong interrupt.
Please send more info and we can get it up and running......
