Just for the record, MadHat is the list administrator.

The NTLUG discuss mailing list is unmoderated, however, in the admittedly
terse mailing list description, it does state:

"This list is for discussing Linux or NTLUG related topics."

As a matter of list etiquette, everyone should attempt to keep all postings
within the bounds of this description. MadHat, as list administrator for
discuss, has the authority (and responsibility) to determine what does and
does not conform to that description. Once he has made that determination and
published it to the list, please honor his decision.

Everyone should also understand that there is nothing personal in the
selection of the message that MadHat "replies" to when he publishes his
determination that a thread is "nonconforming". It is most likely a case of
being "the straw that broke the camel's back".

In the future, if there is a question about someone's authority to act on any
of the NTLUG mailing lists, please consult the "listinfo" page for that
mailing list. For example, if you go to:

	http://www.ntlug.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss

you will notice at the bottom of the page:

Discuss list run by madhat at unspecific.com

You should consider the listinfo page as the NTLUG sanctioned source
defining the authorized administrator for each mailing list.

Now play nice...
