There is a mild possibility that this machine may fall into my hands,
and I should like to ask:
(1) Has anyone ever set one of these up with Linux before.
(2) Does anyone have any thoughts on the subject.
Machine:
Unisys U6000/65
an Intel based UNIX SVR4 machine which has:
(1) 4 Intel 486 CPUs (2 at 100Mhz, and 2 at 50Mhz)
(2) 96MB Memory
(3) 2 NICs (1 10Mb 2BaseT BNC, and 1 10/100Mb Combo - BNC and Rj45)
(4) 2 floppies (1 5.25, and 1 3.5 - not sure the 3.5 works)
(5) 1 CD-ROM - takes a jewel case
(6) 4GB hard drives, made up of 3 drives, (500+MB, 1+GB, and 2+GB)
I think that's the major stuff - no sound card, but nice alarm horn
(reminds me of a tug boat).
Any thoughts appreciated.
