I've not seen a dot matrix printer for *years*...compared to a laser printer
(or even an el-cheapo inkjet), the noise and low quality of a dotmatrix printer
make them pretty non-competitive these days.

When I print code (which is *VERY* rarely), I just dump it out in landscape
mode - with a reasonable font, you can comfortably get 132 columns.
