[NTLUG:Discuss] How do I connect up a domain name to my IP address?

I've only dealt with static IPs via an intranet, where an internal DNS
server handles name/address matches, but I assume the same logic will
apply...

The DNS admin has to be notified of the name you wish your IP to be
known as so (s)he can add it to the DNS tables. Contact SWBell's tech.
support website and ask how to assign your chosen name to the IP address
they gave you. If they don't do that, they will know who you need to
contact.
