From what I have read, orinoco, wvlan and others were rolled into the
wavelan and the others.
I have not been able to get them to work on my Buffalo card <wvlan in
2.2> I can get the
power lite to come on tho. I get zip with 2.4.5. Don't forget to edit
the /etc/pcmcia/config.opts
file or nothing will happen.
Mandrake comes with 2.4.3 but it has all the new modules and the old
ones. How would
one get the source to compile all of these in? I have not done much
kernel patching. If the
rolling in to fewer modules works, why does 2.4.3 have all of them?
Can we say "bleedin' edge"?
Have Fun.
I found one place on Congress Ave. here in Austin that I can dhcp right
on the internet. hehe
I am constantly checking. A schlotskies down the road has wireless, but
I do not know if I
can get close enough. I don't like Schlotskys. Wireless is fun.
