This box is running SAMBA (windoze share) and MARS (Novell share) and
has
been up for over 5 months without a re-boot:

[root at dal-nfsbridge-1 /v1]# uptime
 11:19am  up 170 days, 23:41, 12 users,  load average: 1.00, 1.00, 1.00



This box is controlling a telephone switch that handles well over 50,000
calls a day for our directory assistance center and has been up for over
9 months without a re-boot:

[root at switch-0-b exe]# uptime
 11:20am  up 292 days, 19:53, 12 users,  load average: 0.89, 0.67, 0.52

Lets see 'em match numbers like that with *any* windoze based PC....
