If I understand correctly, you can send mail just not get it from
that box. You *did* install a POP server and enabled in inetd.conf,
right? :)
Postfix is just the MTA (mail transfer agent). You need a POP server
to actually retrieve mail. Do a search on freshmeat.net for POP and you
should get back half a dozen results at least.
Try to telnet to port 110 (the POP port) on the server and see if
anything is listening there.
