   If you are using a 90 mhz pentium, chances are you have an early
pentium chipset.  Some of those early chipsets had a bug in them that
"only" affected RTOS (real time operating systems).  Linux seems to handle
the bug, Windows did not.

   Data corruption was the symptom.
