  if you have the Mandrake cd-roms, mount one of them, and in your home
directory do

rpm -qlip /mnt/cdrom/Mandrake/RPMS/*.rpm >rpms.txt

  (double check that I got the RPMS directory right on the cdrom). 

  This will generate a text file with all of the rpm data in it regarding
all of the rpms on the cdrom.

  you can then search the text file for the particular files you are
interested in.  Once you find the file, install the rpm that the file is
in.  Once you have all of your dependencies satisfied by installing the
rpms, you can install ethereal.
