So it's Cable Modem -> Hub -> 3 machines on 192.168.1.0 network?
I don't have cable modem anymore, but when I did, I noticed that the setup
would not work if the modem was directly connected to a hub. Could've just
been the modem I had, though(RCA).
Would definately help if you had a router/firewall box to masquerade the
other 3 machines. I doubt that you'd be able to DHCP 3 machines on the same
cable modem.
See www.linuxrouter.org.
