[NTLUG:Discuss] Samba server and Slow network.

Would there be any reason that (or setting on) a SAMBA server would cause
the program ACT to run very slow?  I am running a Slack 7.1 box supporting
three Win98 workstations.  If the user reboots, ACT seems to speed up for a
while.  When I look at the 'status' screen in SWAT, I see MANY open files
that go back to January 11th.

Maybe the SAMBA server isn't releasing its lock on the files.  Maybe there
is a setting for Windows98.  Does anyone have a clue?
