I just recently bought a Intel Pro 100 Cardbus PCMCIA card
from Buy.com for $130. Some might consider that a little steep,
but I believe you get what you pay for. It seems most of the PCMCIA
NIC cards out there today are based on crappy NE2000 chipset.

So far it works great on Win2k and OpenBSD 2.8, have yet to try
Linux. The OpenBSD developers consider the Intel EtherExpress
100 family of Ethernet cards to be the best out there.

I was pushing 5MB/sec on an FTP transfer earlier today on my
card. Compare that to my 3Com 574 PCMCIA (non cardbus) which
was topping out at 1.6MB/sec.
