I used to see similar messages regularly on my LRP box when I had cable
modem.  I just assumed it was @home checking for web servers(see cable
modem/dsl thread) or maybe they were checking to see which IPs were in use.
That would explain why I kept losing mine, since my box just dropped the
packets.
If you have a UNIX/Linux platform, you can get a static IP instead.  Just
fill out the form on the Excite at home page.
