[NTLUG:Discuss] fetchmail problem

Usually when I run fetchmail to pull mail from my ISP everything
appears to work fine.

Occasionally, I get the following:

If anyone on the list questions the following suggestions, offered IMHO, let 
fetchmail: SMTP transaction error while talking to mail.vzinet.com
fetchmail: normal termination, status 9
[bls at ss1 INBOX.VM.Fldrs]$

Once this happens future efforts are generally meet with failure.  I
load Netscape and collect the mail using that program.

Any solutions/ideas.
