[NTLUG:Discuss] Color printing in WordPerfect?

Wordperfect uses it's own printer drivers - which is the "windows way" and nice
if no other print driver works in linux. The driver for Epson Stylus Color 800
(mine, for example) prints color just fine. You're best bet is to try to get
updated drivers. You can always print to a file with a color-supported
postscript printer and then print with some other utility.

Subject: [NTLUG:Discuss] Color printing in WordPerfect?

I have a Canon BJC-7004 color inkjet printer - which prints perfectly
in color using GIMP, XV, NetScape, gPhoto - and any other program that
prints using Postscript (via Ghostscript of course) to the printer.

...except Corel WordPerfect...

Nothing comes out in color - not images, not colored text - nothing.
It does generate reasonable shades of grey instead.

I have checked the box in 'Preferences/Print' to say 'Print color: Full Color'
and I've made sure that in 'Program/Printer Control' I have the printer selected
as 'lp' (and not 'lp-mono'), and the destination is set to 'lpr'.

I'm mystified.

Is it possible that this is some kind of 'crippleware' limitation? I am
using the free (beer) version from SuSE 6.3 or so...although I did register
my copy on the Corel site.
