I have had trouble getting memory above 64MB, though not because I didnt
enter mem=128m.

 I bought a 128MB PC100 16 chip dimm last week
although the bios recognized and passed it
it caused many boot issues when I tried to use it above 64MB

so figuring it was faulty I returned it and got another
 this time I got a 8 chip 128MB dimm

the bios accepts this one as well but.....
the kernel sees ZERO MB and of course imediately complains about the
swapper not having memory

I have a 64MB PC100 dimm in the board now
(purchased at same store)

 what is going on?
I know pc100 is bound to be picky but is this normal?
my mbd says it will support 256MB and while its not much it is alot more
 than I have now.

 any ideas?
