Yes, Chris, aal's post made me think of it; I think Mandrake calls it
7.02 or somesuch; I think I recall some discussion of it on Mdk's site,
http://www.linux-mandrake.com/en/ . I don't recall exactly what it is,
and maybe it's not a DOS/ Windoze deal they fixed, but it was some kind
of trouble with their install.
Well.....I just popped in my own LinuxCentral CD of Mdk 7, which I've
installed 2 or 3 times already (although not thru DOS as that fellow was
trying; I've got a bootable CDROM). I see it's labelled
"mandrake_7.0-2"; I'll bet (but haven't otherwise verified) they already
have the updated image on the LC CD.
And, I just perused the DOS install section of Mdk's "Linux-Mandrake:
Install Guide" on the CD, /doc/en/mdkinstallguide/003.html. Can't figure
out what his problem was; It looks like, after he made a boot disk thru
DOS, using Rawwrite or rawrite, it wasn't reading/ running his CDROM
properly, driver problem w/CDROM, etc.
