Is this a dual socket board?
I wouldn't expect you could connect a K6-3 to an Athlon motherboard;
Athlon has a Rather Different socket and overall CPU form factor.
(Not to mention that it's rather different inside!)
Supposing there is an adaptor, I'd think hooking it up to the "wrong"
motherboard to be about as wise an idea as using "SIMM collectors" that
let you plug 2 SIMMs into one SIMM slot.
Far wiser, I'd think, to get a Socket 7 motherboard.

They're a vendor of hardware tending somewhat towards the high end;
it appears that they do a lot of tuning, and the pages on various
sorts of components make fairly compelling reading. Although I don't
think they've been big on AMD K6 lately...
