Ah, I guess you haven't been around very long, huh? In almost 4 years, 
there's only been one person removed from an NTLUG list for obnoxious
behavior. And he was a lot more obnoxious than you are, so have no
fear.

Posting to this list isn't a right, it's a privilege. You got your
press release onto the list, so I don't know why you're still carrying
on. I pointed out that I didn't think it was appropriate, but that's
all I did. I'm within my rights as the administrator of this list to
make that judgment. If you didn't agree with me, you could have been
more professional about it and asked me, off the list, how or why I
made that judgment, and what you could do to publicize your company's
press releases. If you'd done that I could have pointed you to some
places that are *much* more appropriate for your press release. (For
instance, Linux Today has a very nice feature just for press releases; 
they have 20 to 30 per day, the vast majority of which are, IMO,
inappropriate for *this* list.)

I didn't send you private email telling you not to post here again or
anything like that. All I did was simply ask you, and everyone else,
to think carefully before sending press releases to this list as, IMO,
they are almost always inappropriate. Instead of just accepting that,
you apparently want to escalate this into some kind of argument. You
had your say, and I've had mine. Let's just let it drop now.

By the way, if you really don't like the way I administer this list,
why don't you step up to the plate and volunteer to administer it (and
jobs at ntlug.org, announce at ntlug.org, lip at ntlug.org, board at ntlug.org,
and leaders at ntlug.org) yourself, rather than continuing to piss and
moan about the way I do it? I'd be happy for the help.
