[NTLUG:Discuss] NT Linux friendly ISP

Software--as I recall the chats would get as far
as asking for my passwd which I would hand off
and that was as far as I would get--no response from
the nt to my password, and as I said, I configured
both for and without PAP/CHAP trying to get authenticated.
I had one nt-running ISP tell me (after I had been trying
to connect for a month), 'The nt has been instructed not
to talk to any machine with a static ip'. That was nice
to find out since, at the time, I was running Solaris 2.4
which had no support for dynamic address assignment.
Like you, I have little faith in an ISP running off of nt's,
but have used them on occasion for my daughter's win95 machine
if they offered a local dialup--they're good enough for
a 13-year-old who doesn't know any better.
