you need to set up the standard named. make a private address (you can
use 192.168.10.x) and make mail.nest.com be your mail sever machine per
your named settings. if you can ping mail.nest.com from another machine
on the network, then you have it set up right. This assumes you put your
/etc/resolv.conf file to point to your machine for its dns.
assuming mail.nest.com is 192.168.10.10, and it is running your dns
server, then
resolv.conf has:
search nest.com
nameserver 192.168.10.10
if you are running redhat:
/etc/sendmail.cw has:
nest.com
mail.nest.com
