[NTLUG:Discuss] mutt and MIME

I would like to forward copious numbers of messages from my Netscape mailbox 
to my local ~/Mailbox file, setting up a number of filters under qmail to do
the job of sorting to the proper places.  Unfortunately, mutt's "built-in"
MIME capabilities don't seem to be working with the MIME-encoded attachments
being sent by the Netscape MUA.  Specifically, text/plain and message/RFC822 is
supposed to be "internally configured" in mutt, but I must have missed
something, as nothing of these types are being displayed correctly.  Any
suggestions?  mailcap and mime.types are present in ${prefix}/etc...
