Slightly off topic, but you did say you checked out the local vendors. I
just spent the day at Sun, and my company signed me up for their Sun Key
program. I'll be taking several classes there over the next year. I'll
start with the Solaris Sys Admin certification study CD they give you
and then take that test just to have the certification, then I'll move
on to hardware troubleshooting and enterprise system administration
classes that will apply more to my job.
Drop me a note in a month or two and I'll let you know what I think of
it so far.
