I could be wrong....but I'd say the shared irq is the problem. You'll need
to determine the irq's for the two controllers and then you may have
to force the settings with boot parameters or something like that.
It may not solve all of the problems....but I think it's a start.
(I'm afraid much of the detail of how exactly to determine the irq's is
left up to the reader....haven't tried it in other words)
