I don't think it was a year ago - the demo day has been proposed
(and at such short notice) simply to coincide with the Windoze
2000 launch - which I guess was only announced very recently.

With less than a month to go - and no intervening NTLUG meeting
scheduled - it's going to be pretty hard to do anything significant
IMHO.
