[NTLUG:Discuss] password for samba?

Hi All:
I try to connect 95 box to Linux box using samba.
when I double click my Linus box icon on 95's Network Neighborhood,
it ask me to supply a password as following:

You must supply a password to make this connection.
source: \\Liubx\IPC$
password:

The other case is:
under DOS prompt, I did

C:\>net use * \\Linux\homes
The password is invalid for \\Linux\HOMES. For more information, contact 
your
network administrator.
Type the password for \\Linux\HOMES:******

Error 86: The specified network password is not correct. Type the correct
password, or contact your network administrator for more information.

I have tried enter root's password, user paswword, 95 password...
all in vain!

on smb.conf, i set "encrypt password = no".
on 95, I add a key "EnablePlainTextPassword = 1".

What is the password for these? Anyone help?
