[NTLUG:Discuss] ISP Recommendation

I'm new to the area and looking to hook up with an isp.  I want to be on
pretty much full time.  I saw the message similar to this one but he
seemed to have that as less of a requirement.  I don't buy the unlimited
but not unlimited balogna.  I used to work for an ISP, I know how the 
system works.  The proportion of users that stay on versus those that
don't evens out.  I want an isp wise enough to know this.  I need to
access my system from work and that means leaving it dialed up.  If
I was able to pay the obscene amount they want for "dedicated" access
I'd be buying SWbell's ADSL not a dialup account.  

Hex.net is apparently not it.  I check ticnet.com and they aren't either.
Anyone have any other suggestions?
