[NTLUG:Discuss] SCSI interfaces question

Greetings, all.

I'm looking for a new SCSI hard drive.  Before I place an order, I've got a
question about the various SCSI interfaces.  I have an Adaptec AHA2950U2W
controller, which supports 50-pin SCSI, 68-pin Ultra Wide, and 68-pin
Ultra2 Wide.

I'm seeing several drives which support Ultra160/m SCSI.  What is this?
And, more to the point, can I use it?  It looks like the '160/m' is a
transfer rate, but this isn't clear.  If so, since my card doesn't directly
support this, can I hook it up to the slower bus and use it at half speed,
or will it simply not work?
