"A" day ?!?! Huh?

I would have hoped that teachers would be above the "worry about my peers"
learning concerns, since students are pounded by the media to rise above
such. <sigh>
Anyway, re tutors who can "do PC", can you be more specific on skills?
-What- do you want to teach them? If the topics are MS Windows, Visual
Basic, Front Page or Office 98, all of which you've mentioned in the past,
I'm afraid I'm not qualified -- I don't touch Windows stuff. If you want
someone to teach Star Office, perhaps I can help. If you want someone
to teach the Linux command-shell, C/C++/Python programming, basic
compute concepts, or how to do research on the web
(any browser/platform), I can help a lot more.

Please explain 'conference period'. Is it a single-hour of time, set in
concrete w/o teacher consultation at the start of the each semester?
And during that period, where would the tutoring take place? Are there
PCs in a teacher lounge or study area? I'd imagine the lab we had the
InstallFest in would be booked up during the day, as well as many of
the classrooms in which PCs are located. What if we need the -exact-
same PC each tutoring session, to minimize setup and provide a
consistent environment?
