Great!
* How many?
Well, how many volunteer hackers are there out there.
Obviously I volunteer.
I'd think that about 5 or 6 people would be the maximum. Any more
than
that and it would be uncontrollable. Less than that would make it
hard
to get the job done. Add one machine for Joe Public to try the
game
on...seven systems total?
At least three (preferably all of them) should have a 3D adaptor
(A Voodoo-2/3 or TNT-2 would be best) and a sound card...we'll need
to
be networked so we can share a common code base via NFS & CVS.
* When?
Linux Demo day - or whichever weekend is closest.
It would be dangerous to try to set this up immediately before the
demo day - so we should have them at least a couple of days ahead
of time.
* Where?
Dunno yet - Best Buy has been suggested and our "inside guy" there
is pushing all the right buttons to make it happen. I'd prefer
somewhere that was a bit more computer-dedicated than that though.
Fry's would do it for me...but I guess we'll take what we can get.
