George,
You might want to check the version of your tulip driver.
I had similar problems with the provided driver so I
simply d/l'd the newest driver from Donald Becker's
site:
http://cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov/linux/drivers/tulip.html
There is a good chance that this card actually has the
much cheaper "Lite-On" chipset. The tulip driver will work
fine with this as well. I have two FA310TX cards at home.
They don't seem to work too well when sending/receiving
broadcasts (like DHCP - it works, but it is very slow), but
they work fine otherwise.
