All,
Ok, since the dominant expressed preference was to leave reply-to set
to the list itself, I'm going to do just that. I hope this won't
inconvenience anyone too much.
Also, though it's really only a benefit for me, I have to say that
Mailman's auto-bounce-management features have rooted out nearly
all the bad addresses on this list, which means my INBOX is much less
crowded these days. Which is nice. :>
Next, I want to repeat, one last time for a while, that this list is
archived at <http://ntlug.org/pipermail/discuss/>. I hope you all find
this useful. I'll eventually point to this archive from the Web
site. In addition, I have adjusted the rotation frequency on the
archives from monthly to weekly; discuss at ntlug.org gets, or has been
getting, more mail per week than I realized. Good.
Last, I've got one last bad address among the subscribers to
discuss at ntlug.org, and neither I nor Mailman can figure out who it
is. It eventually ends up getting delivered to 'darins at raytheon.com'
which is a bad address and also isn't subscribed to discuss. So I
reasoned it must be one of the other darins at foo subscribers, of which
there are two: darins at earthlink.net and darins at ti.com. My guess is
that 'darins' has mail getting forwarded to raytheon.com, but his
raytheon address is bad, hence the bounce. If anyone knows
'darins at raytheon' or 'darins at ti.com|earthlink.net' please get in touch
with him or me. I don't suspect he'll see this mail. I want to see
what the situation is a bit more before disabling these accounts.
Best,
Kendall Clark, Mail List Monkeyboy
