also the Fujistu modems that GTE provides (and prob'ly others, but I'm just guessing about them) download the internal software from the CO(central office) and so, there is no such thing as an "A,S,H,I, or other"DSL modem. Depending on the service rate you purchase your DSL(no prefix) modem will be configured by the CO appropiately. Have fun alh
