[NTLUG:Discuss] ftape in RH 6.0

I have an Iomega Easy 800 floppy tape drive installed on my system and
before in 5.2 and below I could talk to it with lets say:

mt -f /dev/ftape rewind

and it would rewind, now that I did an upgrade to 6.0 it tells me : no such
device.

If I look in the /dev dir I can see ftape &  nftape ( and I have tried both
), I also checked to make sure the module was loaded and it said it was. 

Am I doing something wrong or is this broken in 6.0?
