But if you have your CMOS clock set to GMT and have Linux doing the
conversion that is fine, that is why I said "or specify the offset", but
if you have your CMOS clock set to CDT/CST and are getting back PST, it
will sync you to the wrong time.  You have to set up ntpd the right
way.  I didn't mean you have to choose one in your time zone, just
pointing out a folly I have seen and made myself when starting.
