My organization is looking for an Open Source badass in Dallas.

A Red Hat Solutions Architect will help make open source technology both
practical and workable for our large enterprise customers. You'll be the
front-line catalyst who create possibilities, solves problems, and
establishes strategic relationships. As a Solutions Architect, you will
help our customers invest wisely in an infrastructure that gives them
maximum flexibility in the future, helping them run faster and more
efficiently. We'll need you to have a balance of serious technical
expertise, passion for open source, and a deep understanding of business
processes and IT problems faced at the enterprise level.

Primary job responsibilities

 * Collaborate with the Inside Sales team and technical delivery teams
to bring our customers the best solutions from across the Red Hat Cloud
Infrastructure portfolio
 * Discover and analyze customers' business and technical problems, and
connect the appropriate Red Hat solution that aligns to their needs
 * Provide pre-sales technical support for the development and
implementation of complex products and solutions
 * Use your deep product knowledge to provide technical expertise to
sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product
demonstrations, as well as prepare detailed product specifications
 * Follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data
 * Engage with Red Hat partners during sales opportunities

Required skills

 * Excellent communication and presentation skills
 * Ability to interpret customer business problems and technical issues
and effectively explain how a solution will align to their needs or
requirements
 * Knowledge of enterprise solutions and architectures (e.g. cloud, big
data, virtualization, storage, RDBMS, ERP (Oracle, SAP), clustering, and
high availability
 * 5+ years of experience in sales engineering, consulting, IT
architecture, or equivalent supporting enterprise accounts
 * 5+ years of integration or development experience with UNIX or Linux
system administration
 * Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), Red Hat Certified
Engineer (RHCE), VMware VCP, or ITIL certifications are a plus
