<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">I haven't posted here in a while but I saw something rather scary today that</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">I thought I would pass along. On the home page at work there is a daily</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">survey. Today's topic was 'Who invented the Internet'. There were 4</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">choices.</FONT>

<P> <FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">1. ARPA</FONT>
<BR> <FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">2. Microsoft</FONT>
<BR> <FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">3. University of Texas</FONT>
<BR> <FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">4. Smithsonian Institute</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">I voted and then checked the results. ARPA, the correct answer, had just</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">over 50% of the votes. But to my surprise a good 25% chose Microsoft. That</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">many people think Microsoft invented the Internet!!</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">Mind you I don't know how many had actually voted. Also I think the voting</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">is corporate wide, not just the IS department. But still I would hate to</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">think this is a representative sample.</FONT>
