<BR><FONT SIZE=2>I MUST use an MS Windows OS in order to take</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>advantage of the free 'self install' option.</FONT>

<P><FONT SIZE=2>If I choose to use Linux ... there will be a</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>$200.00 charge for a technician to come to my</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>house and install ... whatever it is they require.</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>Is there a way around this?</FONT>

<P><FONT SIZE=2>Does anyone know of an alternative DSL provider</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>for The Colony Texas?</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>I searched for providers on the Internet but only</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>found one or two other providers. One of these</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>only provided ADSL (voice + Internet). The fees</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>are very high for the alternate providers I found.</FONT>

<P><FONT SIZE=2>Covade : 89$ (IDSL, yuk) + equip/install charges = >$500.00</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>InterConnect : $109 to $279 equip/install = ? (Why even look?)</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>IDT : $115 to $199 equip/install = ?</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>SWB : ~$50.00 + $99.00 equip.</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>Verizon is priced very competitively, but they cannot</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>service The Colony.</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>It looks like SWB owns me!!!</FONT>
