I could not find dhcpcd on my Red Hat 6.2 distribution, but "man -k dhcp"
yielded pump(8).
<br>Using "pump -h hostname" I was finally able to get my Linux box talking
to the Internet through ATT@HOME.
<br>I have more testing to do, including aliasing on the NIC - one laptop
moves with me from location to location.
<br>My home setup includes a router/switch with the static IP and hostname
provided by ATT@HOME, which then used DHCP to dole out private IPs on the
internal network.
<br>But I think it should work on a stand alone PC as well.
