Hello all,

My name is Micky Fokken, and I am trying to get into the Linux field in the Dallas area. I know this is an off-topic subject, but I was wondering if anyone had any tips on what I might do to get involved in this field?

I have been privately training students for the last five months on Linux adminstration, networking, and basic security, using a Linux manual that I wrote as class supplemant material. Unfortunately, I'm running out of money and need to become an employee again, opposed to self-employment.

What type jobs are available with this type of experience? My main problem is that I don't have any field experience, though I have been doing as much hands-on practice as I can with my computers.

I would really appreciate any help getting an entry-level or higher Linux position and am willing to provide more information upon request.

Thanks again,
