In that case the best approach is to set up a DOS boot floppy with
the<br>
defrag program on it. That way none of the files on you HD part
should<br>
be locked. Hidden and read-only files can cause problems too so the
DOS<br>
ATTRIB command might be useful there.<br>

Be careful using DOS utils on Win 95 and up, <b>most will TRASH</b> <u>ALL LONG FILE NAMES </u>leaving your system useable. Another good reason to trash M$ products and go 100% Linux.<br>
