<P><FONT SIZE=2>Currently I'm using the command string "ifconfig eth0:0 192.168.1.1 broadcast 192.168.1.255 netmask 255.255.255.0 up" to add secondary, and sometimes tertiary, ip's to a NIC.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>Here's my two questions: Is this the best way to do this? and Is there a way to remove a secondary ip without taking down the entire NIC?</FONT></P>
