<P><FONT SIZE=2>Probably the easiest thing to do is pidof kppp or pppd, then kill -9 the process ID. Thats it. Or use a different dialer prog. Try EZPPP, its always worked well for me.</FONT></P>

<P><FONT SIZE=2>I'm the one that suggested the killall pppd. When you run this command </FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>does it return any error messages?</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>If the name of your ppp daemon is really kppp you may need to do</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>killall kppp or kpppd. Also, you may need to use kill -9 "process-id".</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>You *should* be able to determine which daemon you are using via:</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>ps waux | grep ppp</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>Once you do this, try either killall "process-name" or kill -9</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>"process-id"</FONT>
