I have a fresh installation of Caldera OpenLinux 2.3 on a Pentium 100 that
is freezing (locking) up when loading additional software. I've installed
this software many times from the same media, so I don't suspect the software.
One thing I notice on the server, occasionally I see a message about 'hda:
lost interrupt' that I've never seen before. The HD is an IBM 4.3
G IDE. I've set the BIOS to LBA and on boot it displays as 'LBA,
Mode 4'. This same server used to run RedHat 6.1 successfully.
<p>Any suggestions?
