[NTLUG:Discuss] Need scanner advice (2)

Running Ubuntu 10.04.  If you have seen my message (1) [with nearly the 
same subject], you know that I am replacing a junk Dell AIO printer 
(partly because it is junk and partly because their support is so 
pitiful).  I want to be able to scan 35mm  slides and negatives.

Is anyone doing this and, if so, how; and what results are you getting?

Anybody have any advice and/or suggestions?

Will any of the AIO printers do this to a fairly high quality?
