[NTLUG:Discuss] virtualbox and 3d enable?

Hello, All,
I believe I made a mistake when I installed Mint 12 with Mate...I can't 
enable 3d in my VM, It's greyed out??  It works fine in other OS's 
Ubuntu 11.10.  I see 3d is enabled.
  I must have been to eager during installation to notice 3d wasn't 
enabled...Question: Now I don't have the option.  Do I have to reinstall 
Mint?  I see no other way to have compiz working??
  System: win7-64 with various ubuntu and mint distors.
