[NTLUG:Discuss] Stuck Windows

Don't know what else to call it.  In my new position, I have inherited a 
number of Linux machines, most running SuSE 9.2.  One of them has a 
stuck window problem.  Each application you open comes up in a fixed 
size window stuck in the upper left corner.  Subsequent windows are 
directly over the first. You cannot drag or resize the windows.  By 
right clicking on the window, you can get an option to "unclutter 
Windows" or to tile them, but even that is a pain. I have found no 
references yet on this in the Internet.

Thanks for any ideas on fixing the problem.
