My response to your kind response was terrible. Let me try again.
Router: Linksys Wireless Router BEFW11S4
	Connects to Motorola Cable Modem.
	Receives dynamic IP from ISP
	Provides DHCP fire wall services to computers connected to it.
Cmptr1 is a workstation/server running Ubuntu, Breezy. Connects to
Router by cable
Cmptr2 is a laptop running Ubuntu, Breezy. Connects to Router by cable
usually, but sometimes by wireless. (If I assign fixed IPs to all
computers, would I have to sign one to eth0 and one to the wireless
card?)
Two Window XP Laptops that are here working on stuff periodically.
While working on Cmptr2 and/or one of the XP machines, I want to be able
to connect to Cmptr1 by writing:
$ ssh Cmptr1
no matter what kind of connection, wireless or NIC card, instead of
having to use:
$ ssh <Cmptr1's IP of the Day>
Is this any better?
Thanks,
Bobby
