Sorry, I was not online this weekend to keep this from happening as 
much.

If you setup a vacation reminder, it should be configured to ignore 
"bulk" mail from mailing lists all together.  The way to do this is 
going to depend on the software you use, but it can be done in most 
cases.  The idea is that mailing lists should _never_ see vacation 
messages.
